Graduate Chemistry Laboratory: Elaine Construction Company continues its work for MIT managing the
renovation and new construction of highly specialized laboratories. This
10,000 square foot chemistry laboratory took seven months for construction
and required extensive mechanical upgrades to create new enhanced lab and
office space. Work was completed off hours allowing the continuous
operation of the lab and full student access. Special equipment included
bio hazard and chemical hoods as well as non-stationary lab surfaces for
easy mobility. The project was completed in February of 2002.
